What a stimulating challenge I have every time I design a show!

The big question I always ask me is: How that particulate show concept can be shown on stage with his own intrinsic visual attributes.

From sketches to Pyware to real life!!!

Imagine & sketch the next shows concept.
Design & consider how all the visuals will be showcased. (Flags, props, costumes, tarps…)
Create a visual art medium that allows all artists to develop their skills as dancers and musicians on a football field or on a "winter" stage.
Provide advices on how each group might improve their performances to receive an enthusiastic public reaction.
I enjoy working with other creative folks to elaborate shows. Sketching the next concepts and "moments" that teams will present on various stage venues is something that fascinate me. Sometimes I develop and create based on the proposed show concept, other times I take the initiative, lead and suggest ways to brighten things up. Either way, it is always a truly remarkable collaborative process. As the years pass, I continue to value my relationships with all the other creatives that bring their unique perspectives to shows.

When the drawing explorations are done, all the live "Zoom"/"FaceTime" meetings are completed, and I'm nearing the end of putting things down in Pyware; I always feel like this is the end of something. However, this is only the beginning of a significant journey for the performers.

And when the competitive season begins, I reserve some time to watch, comment and suggest ways to improve the shows in terms of potential corrections and enhancements.

It's a fascinating artistic puzzle!

SKETCHES, SKETCHES and SKETCHES
(Preparative works & follow-up)

I get ready by conducting some explorations, making some sketches, and outlining and testing a few concepts on paper for each new project. I simply follow where my thoughts take me. The process will deal with the ineffective ideas and give the promising ones a chance to stand out.

It is also a great way to communicate and exchange with all individuals that are involved in the creative process of each group.
